As the coordinator for Camp NKIRU, hosted by the Springfield Urban League, we are always looking for community partners when we plan our summer youth program.
I received a call from Donna Brown, founder of iMagicNation, wanting to offer a book club for middle and high school youth attending our 2022 camp.
Let me say, one of the best decisions we made was to give our ok for the book club. It was a great addition to the camp and what we had to offer the youth. Donna and her team have created a fantastic organization.
The team of trained volunteers shares Donna’s love for youth and is passionate about inspiring and encouraging them to develop the habit of reading outside of the classroom.
iMagicNation’s program is creative, and they have a unique way of engaging youth and getting their buy-in. It works!
If you have youth who you want to introduce to the joy of reading, I can think of no better team than iMagicNation.
We are looking forward to partnering with them during the upcoming school year and again next summer.
Sincerely,
Calvin B. Allen
